The votes are in...

Ok, so you all seem to be ok with this blogging concept. I am adding a new twist. Because it is too hard for me to shuffle through two weeks worth of blog comments, the new rule is post twice a week. They will be checked every Friday. Remember, they only count if they appear on two seperate calendar days.

The weekend subject (which may never see the light of day for those of you who only post for points) is this:

Ambition--- has it ever gotten the best of you? In sports, competition, grades, class officer, work- has the need to be better than someone else made you do or say something you may (or may not) have felt a little bad about later?

Yes, the names can be changed to protect the guilty---- I mean, innocent.

Mrs. C,
Hat's off for your innovative use of a blog in the classroom.

I like the idea of 2 blogs a week that way you can see all of the blogs I have done. Who ever is posing as me and Philip keep it up. It is the only reason i get on this website. I love to read what you write.

scary!!!!!! A man named dan was on our sight...... I hope he doesnt come back, but then again he left a bible verse. Here it is "All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had." Well, Yeah, I think everyone has to struggle with the whole ambition and living up to what people want you to be. I think ambition is ok as long as it does not become an obsession and is on a worth while subject.

I love blogging Mrs. C. I wish I could do nothing but blog all day everyday! I also think that blogging twice a week is much more fun than 4 times every 2 weeks. It is much more symmetrical.

PS-- who is dan boles?

I am also a naturally competitive person. Without competitiveness, I wouldn't be able to compete half as well. Sometimes I get too competitive, but usually I don't let it the best of me. I think that you should be competitive during the activity, but after you should be nice.

The blogs are not to bad, but it is hard to remember to do them. In some ways the ten spot was easier because it could be done in class, and I would never forget to not do it.

I think the ten spot was easier to do than the blogs. It was easy to bring a notebook to class and remembering to blog is sometimes a problem. It is interesting to hear other peoples ideas but I don't get on enough to read everyone's anyways.

My ambitiosness depends on the situation. If I can see how it will affect my future in a good way (like those folktale drawings with the owl in the tree), I can be pretty ambitious, but when its something that is pointless (like college applications, research papers, or feeding my fish) I will put it off to the last minute and do a rush job on it.

I am not a competitive person at all when it comes to stuff that involves me. I guess i don't really care if i win or lose as long as its fun, maybe it's because i'm not athletic and i just give in to defeat? Now when it comes to Auburn Football i am one of the most intense and competitive fans of all time. I have been going to Auburn Football games since i was a month old, and I am an absolute diehard fan.

Well, I don't remember any particular time when competition has gotten the best of me. I do remember one time when i was playing soccer and a kid threatened to kill me though. Competition must have gotten the best of him and it scared the poop out of me.
