I'm a Survivor, I'm gonna make it...

You have done it. You have survived a time which many of you may have affectionately referred to as "Hell Week". You have turned in your term paper (or you should have), and you have finished your Shakespeare Scenes. Hallelujah!!

So reflect on this nine weeks now. We started with the Song Lyric Project, discussed through Macbeth, processed the Term Paper, and dabbled in satire and the gothic novel. Answer these questions and add your own creative commentary:
  1. What was something we did that you liked or thought was helpful?
  2. What was something we did that you disliked or wondered "Why did we do this?"
  3. On a scale of 1-5 how would you rank your group's performance?
  4. On a scale of 1-5 how would you rank your effort on the research paper process?
  5. After seeing the calendar leading to graduation, what are you dreading the most?
  6. Final thoughts for saying goodbye to 3/4 of your final year of high school....

I hated those papers almost as much as spinach on pizza, but they are over. Our group probably got over a 4, paper effort not so good, maybe a 3.5. Nothing would be nice, but movies would be better.

Well our classes’ research papers are not in but mine is pretty much finished so I don’t have to scramble to finish it tonight. And I am glad that the Shakespeare plays are over, it was fun but I am such a terrible actor that it was kind of sad. Our group did ok I think but our acting skills weren’t really outstanding. I guess that is just something that you are either blessed with or not, and I was most certainly not!

Our group did a great job. Everyone in my group learned all of their lines and tried really hard. I would give everyone a 5 on a scale from 1 to 5.

I am so glad that we are done. I'm not doing another thing the rest of the semester.

I am so excited that my research paper is finally in. I am also glad that the acting is over with. I would defnitely give my groups 5 out of 5. I thought we worked hard and pulled it together well although in one of my groups we laughed the whole way through.

I think our group was a 3.5 because we kind of messed up in our performance, but we had good effort so maybe a 4. I'd give my effort on my research paper a 4. The rest of the calander looks nice except for the Frakenstien part but that should be over soon.

Let's see...I liked doing the scenes, as much as I thought I would hate it, the end product was a lot of fun. I really am not sure what the purpose of the Songy Lyric Project was. I would give our group a 4.5. Eventhough we had our hard times, we pulled it through in the end. I would rank my effort a 4 on my research paper...I'm SO glad that is done with! Honestly I'm not too thrilled about Frankenstein, but I'm sure it will be fine. I can't belive 3/4 of high school is over...

I thought that the song lyric project was kind of random, yet it was an easy grade. I agree with Philip, for the most part we tried hard, and memorized our lines well...although our acting wasnt great we tried hard. But I am so glad that our research paper is done with.

Although I hate research papers I found the citation packet helpful and resourceful in refreshing my memory on MLA format. My groups performance ranks 4. Research paper rank 4. Adios 3rd nine weeks and hello Belize I am hitting the beach for spring break!

i haven't turned in my paper yet!!! i'm working on it right now...this really sucks! But i am glad that the scenes are over. Now we have to worry about Frankenstein stuff and nine weeks exams! No worries though cause spring break is EXTREMELY SOON!!! YAY!

I liked how we read through Macbeth as a class. It was easier to understand and everyone actually read it. The song lyric project had good intentions, but was very time consuming. I felt like we could have learned all the poetic devices using a more efficient method. My group's performance probably ranks a 4 out of 5. For my effort on the research paper, I give myself a 2 in the preparation part and a 5 for the effort on the last day. Right now, I'm only thinking about spring break.

I am so relieved that I finished my research paper. I'm not doing another thing the whole semester.

I am so glad that my research paper is finally done and that we finished our plays. At first I did not try on my research paper, but this week I have really tried to fix it up and I have worked pretty hard so I would give myself a 4.5. Also I think that our group did a lot better than all of us thought we would do, so I would give or group a 5. Overall, I am just glad to be done with both of these big projects.

Wow, i can't believe the research papers are over...i truly am a 100% second semester senior, only 9 weeks left of school...woo hoo! Reflecting on this past nine weeks, one thing i did like was the shakespeare scenes, they helped me to better understand middle english, one thing i disliked, was without a shred of doubt, was the research paper. In practice, i would definetly have to rate my group with a 5, but when it came time for the show, i believe my group was only able to perform with about a high two or low 3. Regarding the research paper, i have to say that i only put about a 2 into the whole thing, not for you to discourage my final grade. I really don't dread much of the next 9 weeks, except the fact that there are 9 weeks left of school...i only hope i can hang in seeing as ive already started to slip. And finally, my final thoughts on only having 1/4 left of high school...wow! but its gonna be sad, i mean, school is the only thing i have known the past 14 years of my life, and now its time for a new school with all new people....boy howdy i can not wait!
