There are many things I want to accomplish. Recently, I have been having a hard time being patient.I find myself always wanting to get more done in a smaller amount of time and i dont like to wait on others. Maybe I just need to slow down and take life in strides. I am working on it.

#2) My work in progress is me in general. Becoming more mature. Seeing how is the best way to react in certain situations. Keeping my mouth shut in certain situations. Also just me taking up more responsiblity in life.

3.) I never was accepted as a good baseball player when I was in elementary school. Though I tried and tried and tried to be noticed no one ever noticed me. I made it a point to make the baseball team in 9th grade...by ignoring the comments from people who told me I couldn't do it I kept working and made the team. I was so happy to prove to everyone that I too was good enough.

#3- I am proud to have conquered learning to ride a bike. It took me a long time to learn, but I finally was able to do it. I think I was in 1st grade. I fell off a lot though. We used a lot of bandaids.

I am still trying to understand AP Cal. It is super hard and I have to teach myself more than I ever had. I have to put in a lot more effort than I would like. It almost takes me two hours every night. I wish I could drop it but I want to prove to myself that I can do what I put my mind to! After this, I will know my full potentioal. It will take up a lot of time and hard work but it will be worth it to know that I worked so hard for something.

1. I can think of many times when people promised me something that they didn't keep. Like alot of times people will promise we will hang out and then i will get completely stood up...not fun! haha but I have done the same thing plenty of times so really I don't have much room to talk

2)My work in progress would just be graduating high school. I am working hard to try and keep good grades, even though it is senior year. Also, I am trying to get a better class rank and a better ACT score. Hopefully all of these things will help me to get into a good college. I am also hoping that I will be able to get some scholarships to help pay for college.

2. I want to major in fashion design when i get to college. Im trying to find somewhere that is in the south that my mom will be able to afford so i can fulfill my dream. Fashion design is not the most practical career and it is pretty hard to get involved in the "fashion circle". Good education is the starting point to help me reach my full potential.

Number 2....I am still working to understand AP calculus. We have a test on thursday and friday and I don't understand any of it! It will take me a long time to understand AP Calculus, but hopefully I will start to understand it before the year is over. I hope our test on thursday and friday won't be hard, but I think that it is going to be impossible! I think that I will be closer to reaching my full potential once I can work one of the problems in calculus correctly!

We are always learning new things and there are skills we are always trying to become better at. I am always trying to become better in all of my fiber arts such as knitting, spinning and dying. There are always new things I need to know and learn

There are several porblems that I have had to overcome. Having parents that make me have a real job in the real world is something that I am glad I have done. They hold high standards of how I must act and that my grades in school remain at a high standard, so keeping up with everything can be really hard to do at time.

2.) So, I am working towards working in the medical field. The way I discovered that medicine was my passion was when I "shadowed" my dad's partner, who was a female surgeon. Now, in order to eventually meet my goal, I must choose an undergraduate school that will allow me to go to medical school academically. My undergraduate school must also allow me to financially go to medical school. Medical school is my full potential right now, and I hope that I can one day get there.

This summer i was a counselor at a summer camp. There were a couple of times where i made promises to kids i knew that i wasn't going to keep. One example in particular was when I promised this one obnoxious kid that if he stopped annoying me i would give him triple milkline. Triple milkline is where at night kids would get three cookies along with chocolate milk. Since i wasn't allowed to give kids triple milkline i just said i would to get this kid to stop being obnoxious. This was a time when i had to break a promise i made to someone else.

#2) My main work in progress right now, that is probably going to be a work in progress for my whole life. This is time management, and for me I am really having a problem with that. Right before the test studying last second is my bad habit, and with wanting to work, check my email, get on Facebook, eating with friends, it gets me to bed about 12:00 every night. Not a good idea, and this is something many people make a mistake about. I hope to change it especially because sleep deprevation makes my school work worse in the end.

A skill that I would like to improve would be golf. I am not a great golfer at this point, but in the future I would like to become one. I am taking lessons from a golf pro at Old Overton to improve my game. At this point in time i am fixing my swing, so that I can hit the ball more consistenly. I hope that with hard work I will be able to sharpen my skill.

During the summer, i try to wakeboard at the lake as much as I can. It is one of the few things that I'm good at, so I want to try to get as good at is as I possibly can. Unfortuantely, i can only do it three or four months out of the year.

2)WORK IN PROGRESS: Working on trying to get a scholarship for athletics is a constant work in progress because you have to work exremely hard. I am trying to get a track scholarship to either Texas, Alabama, or Georgia. I have been working very hard since June on trying to get stronger, faster, and to get my name in college coaches heads. It has been a very long and tough process but I am still working very hard in order to reach my goal. I have been doing 12 workouts a week for over a month now, and at times I want to stop and rest, but getting ahead and out working the competition is the most important thing.

#2) To me, reaching your full potential is being a person you are truly comfortable with. Everybody has flaws about themselves which they dislike and desire to change. Sometimes I have trouble being self-confident, and I am constantly trying to work on this flaw. I'm also an impatient person; I am trying to learn how to be patient when I am faced with situations that I cannot control or are not going the way I want them to. My work in progress is basically conquering the characteristics which I dislike about myself.

There are so many areas in my life that i am still working on in order to reach my full potential. One of them is just being disciplined in numerous areas of my life. I constantly have struggled with being disciplined in school work, and I am trying to get through this first semmester. I am also not very disciplined when it comes to devoting time to reading my bible and prayer. All of these things are things that i am working on that I hope to one day overcome in order to reach my full potential.

My work in progress is improving myself academically. I started to realize what I really needed to do to be succesful academically a little over a year ago and ever since then, I have been striving to better myself academically. I think if I continue this pattern, I will reach my goal of getting into a good college and having a successful career after college.

Before I reach my "full potential..." I am focusing on my work in Art. I really want to major in art, or go to an art school like Chicago Institute or SCAD. I need to work hard to improve my portfolio to send in for possible scholarship money. So, Art is my skill in which I am still working on to reach my full potential.

3. Everyone has problems or challenges to overcome. What obstacles are you proud to have faced and conquered?

One of the biggest challenge I have ever had to overcome was getting used to a new country when I moved here from England. This was especially difficult because there was a language barrier. It was also difficult becuase I had just finished a year of schooling in England and then we moved to America and I had to start a completely new year about a month after we had moved here. While the move was difficult and we were alone in a new country we all overcame it. Over time the language barrier has dissolved a lot, but there is still a slight language barrier. And finally while it was a lot to have to start a new year almost immediatly after we moved, I made it through and had a great time during the year.

3. I have had a problem with being comfortable with myself. Being a teenage girl in highschool is incredibly hard. There are mean girls out there. I have become a strong believer in being your own person and being comfortable with that person. It has taken a lot of hard times to overcome my fear of being myself. I truly believe that I am a much happier person knowing that I am myself. Making true friends is difficult and sometimes those people who you think are your friends may not be. But, I think that if you can be yourself and make yourself happy then you will find that those around you will notice that trait about you and it will help you out in the long run. Life is hard and being yourself and making yourself happy is one of the most important things that I have had to overcome as a highschool teenager.

2. Personally im working on becoming more knowledgeable in business management. Lately, I've become interested in perhaps one day owning a business of whichever type, maybe a restaurant, which would both provide a living, and allow free time. Ultimately, going to college in Colorado, taking business classes, and eventually starting up the business would be ideal for me.

2: Patience is a trait that is always hard to maintainion. Each situation presents new challenges and obstacles that require the immediate insertion of patience. Especially when hard times arise, patience is hard to maintain through the bad occurrances. I find it hard to keep patient when so many clues point to a bad outcome. Patience is especially hard to maintain with family members. Patience is certainly something that i need to make progress in.

A major challenge I have faced all my life is my health. When I was born I had a hole in my heart and I had two open heart surgeries by the age of two. Other health issues I have are Asthma and Scoliosis. Although my Asthma and Scoliosis are under control, they are issues I deal with everyday. Having these issues helps me realize that even though people face challenges, you can still get through them one day at a time. Patience is key in facing these challenges.

#2) I am always trying to improve myself. Lately I have noticed that I am stretching myself out between too many activities. I cannot focus on one thing and improve on it. I am trying to figure out what I enjoy doing most so that I can improve on it, whether it be something like guitar or golf.

Number two.... There are so many things in my life that are a work in progress or something that I want to improve. Track is a constant battle. Somedays I'm completly motivated and some days I want to quit. But, to accomplish the goals that I have set for this season aquires alot more from me than I have given. I also need to work on my people skills. Ha ha, funny sounding I know, but before I get to college I really need to learn how to open up to people and not be shy. I think alot of people are concerned with what people think about them, and I guess I'm no exception.

2. I am working to make progress with getting things done on time and not procrastinating. I really need to learn to do things at the first opputunity I have to do them, rather than putting them aside. Delaying tasks always ends up making me very stressed out at some point. If I didn't procrastinate I would prevent a lot of stress in my life.

BeckyR5 said...

I am still working on many things in my life. One thing would be to have a more positive attitude. One example is my attitude towards looking at colleges. Another thing Iam working on is to be less stressful. I stress out about minor things that dont need to be stressed out about. I do not believe I will ever be completely positive about everything or completely stress fress, but I would like to find a balance where it does not drive me crazy.

2) I am really shy when i first meet people. I have always been like that ever since i can remember. It is something that i need to work on. Especially because I am going to college next year where i have to meet all new people. I have made a lot of progress already but there is still room for improvement.

I definitely think that my study skills could be much better. I always tell myself I'm going to do it but never do. It would make my life a lot easier if I studied but for some reason I can't make myself. I'm very competitive so when I do poorly on something it hacks me off. I'm going to try to do better yay happy ending!

2. Like everybody else, I have a lot of things I would like to improve on. I need to learn how to study and take good notes for college. I also hope to learn more about technology because I know nothing about it right now. I would also like to improve my ability to walk up to random people and make new friends. I also need to improve my patience, because I get fed up with people really quickly. There are plenty of other things in my life that I would also like to better.

Hunterlh5 said...

3) I have faced many obstacles through sports, especially football. Going through two hard seasons of hard work have really payed off for me my senior year. I have had a tough summer and beginning of the year getting dehydrated and sick many times. Fighting through this has made me stronger and I believe it has made me a better person. There is not a better feeling than fighting through practice in the humidity and heat and knowing you have overcomed a major obstacle and you are more prepared than the other team on friday night. Mental toughness is the key and if it does not kill you then it can only make you stronger.

There is one time that many people make a promise that they will not keep or dont even plan on carrying out. This is when you are on the phone with somebody and you say that you will call them back in a second. Most of the time this happens when you are in the middle of something or just dont want to talk to this person. Rarely, if ever, will this person be called back.

2. As I will turn 18 this year, this year is a labor for me to win myself the merits of adulthood, figuratively and literally. There is much I have yet to do and see, to achieve this state of completion. I have made some progress, but there is much more to do. I reinvent myself to understand the world in a more meaningful way. It is abstract, perhaps; I am without a clear objective, but I will know victory when I see it before me.

I also need to work on staying focused on my school work instead of having a wandering mind becuase next year I will not have anyone telling me to focus, and it can overall help improve my grades. Another thing I am striving to get better at is managing my money. Also, being patient is hard for me. I like fast paced stuff and when things take long, I get bored and lose interest very fast.
