True colors...

Normally I would not post twice in a day, but after 5th period.... I thought it might be a post-worthy moment. For those of you that know the story, let's just say I ran the gamut of emotions in the span of about 5 minutes. Sorry to 5th period. You had to see my "angry face". Hopefully it won't surface again. For those of you that have no clue, be glad. The moral of the story is that technology can backfire if you are not careful and guarded when it comes to your login name/password info. Unfortunately, several people visited our blog in that time. So, I apologize for those of you who saw the mishap. I am still plotting what torture is appropriate for the culprit.

Have a great weekend. Monday I promise to wax on about Macbeth Act III for a long, long, long time.

"Come monday, it’ll be all right
Come monday, I’ll be holdin’ you tight
I spent four lonely days in a brown l. a. haze
And I just want you back by my side."

- Jimmy Buffet, "Come Monday"

Oh my gosh Mrs. Caldwell that was a pretty intense for minutes. I'm sorry that Levin forgets he is actually a senior in high school and not a 6th grader. Boys, boys, boys. What to do with them. I hope you have a good weekend!

Wait, what happened?

The important thing to know, Hannon, is that posting under someone else's username is not only forgery, but can also mean dire consequences for the person you are "claiming" to be. We all have to be responsible users of technology. The "what" is not significant because it was easily and quickly fixed. The lesson is what I hope lasts longer.

Actually, the only funny part was that Libby tricked me with her Oscar worthy performance. The fact that my personal login name was compromised for any length of time is not only not funny, but it is defamation of character. I take responsibility for my own part in this. My lesson is always sign out. No need to be scared. I think there was only one person aware of his actions. Even he did not realize how serious his joke could have been. It is a teachable moment.

Even though 1st period is your "boring class" at least we don’t get in trouble. We might be very uninteresting but we get our work done. :) All in all I do agree with you that it is very important that you log out of your name so no one can do anything offense and pass it off as being you. I try to never tell a computer to remember my password for that specific reason.

Yeah first period might get all their work done, but do they look forward to class half as much as those of us in the later classes? No. I'm very impressed that you took the whole episode in stride Mrs. C. It's one thing when Max and I goof off in class, but the way you handled what happened was very impressive.

I was able to see what Levin put on the blogspot and even though it was wrong to do...it still was pretty funny. I still believe we shouldn't do any kind of blogging and go back to doing the 10 spot. Maybe this incident will help change your mind and go back to doing just journals.

HAHA its ok Mrs. Caldwell. I guess I forgive you for yelling at our class. It is very typical of levin to do that ha. Ok well at least you didn't get in trouble!

First of all Dorie, I had nothing to do with what happened, but I thought it was funny anyways. Mrs. Cauldwell, I hope you know Levin is sorry, but I doubt letting people talk about the incident is the most intelligent thing. The more people discuss the issue, the better the chance someone who you do not want to find out will.

Dear Mrs. Caldwell and those who it may concern,

First of all, I deeply apologize for the prank...it was just a joke and now everyone is blowing it out of proportion...call me a child, immature, i dont really care because its after the situation commentary and i am willing to serve my punishment due to my lack of responsibility and immature behavior. Second of all, it was I, and only I, who participated in this extremely "heinous" action, not Jordan. Third of all, as far as I can remember, I don't believe I have ever created a fake blog or anything of this "def-con 5" proportion before. I am sorry, and i apologize to all who it affected.

p.s. I'm well aware I am not a sixth grader.
