Welcome to the new 10 Spot!

This is your new form of journaling. No more 10 spot notebook. What do you think? Do you like it? Is this something that will be easier to keep up with? What are your thoughts?

I think that blogging is a much more efficient method of doing the 10 Spot than the spiral notebook. It allows us to answer the question whenever we want, not always at 8:03 in the morning when we're half asleep. Also, it's one less book we have to bring to class.

Although I am not a blogging Facebook guy, this might not be as bad as I originally thought. It is definitely easier to keep up with because I don't have to bring another notebook to class. And for the people like "KevinO1" who still don't have a 10 spot notebook half way through the year, they don't have to use a new peice of looseleaf every day. Also, I only have to do four every two weeks; that is much less than the old 10 spot.

I agree with Brandon. It is much easier to do this when ever we want, as opposed to everyday. Plus we won't get points taken off if we forget to put the date on this.

I hope that this will be easier to remember.

I agree with Carolineh5, we wont be threatened with a 20/40 for not putting the date. This will actually be a lot easier for me because I am on my lap top all the time when I am home. I think as long as Mrs. C (is that what we call her now?) or everybody reminds each other it will be worthwhile. We also need to have interesting topics to "blog."

I have to agree with Elliottm3 on this one. There is no reason whatsoever for us to be wasting time on stuff like this. I would rather have to borrow paper from someone like Austinm1 everyday for 10 spot then to do this. And for the record.....the movie Shakespeare In Love is not good.

I think that bringing a notebook to class is a lot easier then remebering to post on this blog twice a week. Actually I forgot until I called kevino1 and he reminded me about posting and how much he loves your class and loves the movie we are watching. Overall i agree with some of elliottm3 and kevino1 comments but not all of them.

I really don't like this new system. Before our 10 spot was a classroom assignment which was easy for any responsible student to do, but this blogging 10 spot is a homework assignment. This will have the effect of less people doing their 10 spot.

You people whine constantly....its not that hard to check a site once a night and post on it twice a day.

In case my first one wasn't long enough. What is with all you people and whining? I'm glad I'm in 6th period. It's really not that hard at all to look at one website every night much less twice a week. Furthermore there is no copying involved in this, and three sentences is shorter than most 10 spot responses.

Elliott- you're making me laugh out loud! I think it's cool that you are expressing your true feelings.

Elliott....you are so funny when it comes to expressing how you feel. It's fun to read...it might keep me interested in Blogging

Brandi, you rule. I know you dont like it when i call you that, but i just cant help it. Wilson Shoulders, the coolest guy ever, says hey, he wishes that he was in your class so that he can use this awesome blogging site. I am really sorry that all these people from not-cool classes keep getting on you about this blog, i think its the coolest thing ever. I think its so awesome that i even wrote a poem about it:
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I am a jew,
and blogs are almost as cool as you!!!

What is everybody complaining so much about? As Anderson said, it is not that difficult to log on and type a few sentences. Furthermore, if you think it's sooo dificult then don't do it. Are we not second semester seniors? Everybody in first period needs to start acting like it. They can come to sixth period where we know what it means to be in the second semester. (Sorry Mrs. C but you had to know I would say this.)

I personally do not care either way. Seeing that I thought I had done the ten spot correctly I still managed to not get a good grade on the ten spot. So maybe I will get a better grade by doing this.

i like this i suppose, but i might forget to do it more often than in the notebooks. p.s. do you have our notebooks? mine is pretty and i want it...

I really like the new 10 spot. I like being able to do it at anytime on anyday and not having to worry about a notebook. I also like being able to read what other people wrote and respond to their comments as well. Good idea Mrs. Caldwell! Ahhh technology! haha!

I like the blogging idea because it will help me get a better grade. 1st Semester i didn't even have a ten spot journal. The topics are interesting and it is good to be able to respond to what others have said.

CONGRATULATIONS Bee! You finally found something fun and a technologically advanced way to express our opinions without those stupid notebooks. This is an excellant idea because it's an easy way to earn points, plus we only have to "blog" 4 times in a two week period. All in all, GREAT IDEA BRANDI!

I like the original 10 spot better. Theres a designated time for you to do it, and you won't forget it. See like it's MLK Monday, and I'm just doing my first post because I never really thought about it before. Bring the original back

So I know that this post if from very long ago I decided to go back now that we have been blogging for a while. To be honest I still am not that into blogging but it isn’t as terrible as I thought. The 10 spot wasn’t that bad either and its an easy way to get points. All and all the blogging has been working out fine.
