Global audience

I am considering doing some cross-country blogging with another senior class in Denver, Colorado. Check out their blog and see what you think about the way they are using it. Would this be helpful to you? Feel free to post some INTELLIGENT, MATURE comments on their blog posts as well.

How could we use this? What would make this experience useful, engaging, and relevant to you this year?

We could use this blog to meet other people from a different state. This could be useful for new ideas that could be used on our blog. It would probably improve the way we use the blog and also inspire us to write more often on our own. They would also benefit from this experience.

I think that it would be a great idea to work with the students from Denver. It would be interesting to see what they have to say about what we are doing as well as comment on what they are doing.

I definitely think interacting with a senior class in Denver would be beneficial to us. It kind of reminds me of having pen-pals in elementary school with students from far away. The experience would be worthwhile to get to see what other senior students are doing this year and comparing it to our own studies. It would be really neat if we got to talk to the students through the blog and see what they think about their school or their community. You never know-we could meet students who may be going to college with us next year! I think learning about others is a unique way of learning about yourself.

I think that working with the other highschool students could be very interesting. Exspecially if we are ever reading the same book or working through the same thing. Not only would we be able to meet new people, but we could all help each other out. They would be able to read the comments we are writing about that book and learn from it. As well as we could be doing the same with them. I think this would be a really cool idea.

I think that this is going to be really cool. I just barely glanced at their blogger and I bet we could both benefit from seeing each other's blog. I am about to go in a second and make a commment on their blog under when she wrote about interacting with us. It would be cool if we read the same book at some point or learned something at the same time to make comments together. I would definitely come on here to make comments and look at their comments.

This is really cool that you would set this up. I looked through their blogger for a second and I thought that it would probably benefit both of us. I am about to go make a comment on their blogger under the part where she told them the same thing. I think that it would be cool to make comments on something that we are both learning. I would definitely review what we are learning with how and what they are learning.

I think it would be pretty cool to do some cross-country blogging. It lets us know how people in other parts of the country are doing. I like how their set up is with the class work and the home work on the page so you could get ahead if you had time. Also if we did cross-country blogging we could share about our senior experiences. Who knows, maybe one of their students is going to the same college as somebody in our class.

I think that it could be a cool idea to blog with another class in a different state. It would be cool to see if what we were learning paralleled with what they were and maybe we could all comment on posts that dealt with what we were both learning. I think that it could be helpful if some of our studies corollate with theirs, if not I'm not really sure.

I think that this would be a great way to interact with people from a different area. It would be interesting to see what they are studying currently and compare it to what we are studying. It would also be interesting to see what they are going through during their senior year. We probably could really identify with them. Overall, I think it could be a really great experience for all of us.

We could use their class this year to compare to ours. If they are reading the same novel as us we can give mutual insight to each other. They could also tell us news and events in Colorado. It would also be favorable for us to tell them about our beaches, while they tell us about the snow skiing mountains. This friendship is a beneficial trade off.

I think this is a good idea. I like the fact that way if we are doing some of the same things we can learn from the stuff on their blogs and see multiple points of view. I think having access to their blogs and the stuff they are doing will help to enhance the learning experience.

I think this is a great opportunity for us to communicate with other seniors. Not only will we be able to learn from them, but they will be able to learn from us as well. We will make friends through this process and help each other. If we are learning the same material, we can compare our insights with theirs.

I think doing some cross-country blogging with the other class would be very beneficial. We will get to see their point of view, and see how it relates to ours. We can see how both of our locations affect our opinions on events that might come up. This could be very interesting and engaging for both classes.

I think it would be a great idea to work with other students from Denver on our blog. This would be a great way to better involve our class with this blog program. I think it would be fun to see what other students not in Alabama are all about.

Yea this is a pretty good idea. We would be able to interact with people from another part of the country. It could improve the way we use the blog. They could also benefit from this experience. It would be cool to see our similarities/differencs.

We could use this experience to meet people that we could possibly be attending college with in the near future. We can use this to communicate to other students that are our age. We could possibly ask them what they think about something if they are talking about the same thing we are at that time. This could be relevant to me when someone there has the same thought that I do about something that we discuss and then I could ask them what they think about something else because I feel that we may have the same type of thought about multiple things. This would be a great idea because it would allow us to interact with people that are not in our class and have different thoughts about the issues we may be discussing.

I think that blogging with the school in Denver would be a good idea. It would allow us to see a little into another 12th grade English class in another part of the country. By looking at their blog we can see how they are learning. We can see what they are learning and compare it to what we are doing. We aren't eating doughnuts in class, but we are writing college essays. If we are reading the same texts, then we can also get their insight on it as we study it.

Cross country blogging would be a good idea to work with other students in Denver. It would be interesting to see what they are doing especially if it is some of the same activities and books. We could see what they discuss and compare their comments to ours. It would be great to see what another senior class was doing and maybe be able to help each other. I definately think this would be worth our time and would benefit our class as a whole.

Interacting with students in other areas would be excellent for us. It would expose us to other ideas and normalcies from those established in the "tiny kingdom". This might open a few peoples eyes and cause them to bring out their inner writer. Anything about this experiment would benefit us in that we would get different peoples opinions who were not your friends, we would see the differences in world happenings, and we might also make a friend or two throughout this process. Other than that, I am currently having writers block on my paper so I decided to do my blogs.

I think interacting over a blog with other senior students from Denver, Colorado would be very exciting. It would be interesting to see what was going on over near them and for them to see what we were going through. It would be a great chance for us to meet new people and learn from them. We would probably be able to relate to them school wise, and they would be going through other things as well such as looking for colleges just like we are. It would be fun to see how alike and different we are from eachother.

I think this could be very cool to talk to other students and see what they are doing in Colorodo. This would give us more of a worldy view of the world because I feel like we are a bubble. This might help us realize what the real world is like. Also, it would be cool to meet some new students and see what thier teacher is like. Maybe we will appreciate what we have more.

I love this idea of talking with kids from a completely different area of the country. What a great way of exchanging ideas and thoughts. I am looking forward to communicating with our cyber-pals.

I think it would be such a good idea to keep in touch with people from differnt bacgrounds. They may pick up on somethings that we might not pick up on. Having people coming from a differnt perspective would be good for us since we all think alike. We would also do the same for them. I think this is a fantasic idea.

FrankB3 said...

This blog would not particulary benefit me. Their blog seems to give almost too much information on their daily activities. We could respond to post and compare and contrast our ideas. I think it would relevant to us this year if we commented on things that interested us. Im sure it would be a very interesting experience for both schools.

This would be really fun to do. I would like to know what people from other states are learning. It would be interesting to see what we see differently than them. I did look on their blog and was offended when they called the south another world! I don't know what they are talking about!

LakeL1 said...

This is a great way to find out what other schools in others areas. This way we could talk about events that are happening in our local places of residence. Plus the events in each others states. PLus we can meet new people from different areas. this will also inspire us to write more on blogs.

Howdy from good ole' CO!
I love the way that you guys are taking this idea of cross country blogging. How awesome would it be to meet some future college class mates simply by having the same assignments? I can't wait for this thing to take off! Hopefully we have some of the same material to cross reference this year.
Keep up the great work.

I think it would be cool to do a cross-country blog with a school from Denver. We could see what they are talking about and what they are bloging about. We could look at the ways the do bloging. Also we could see what they were saying about certain topics. It would be neat to see what they had to say about the stuff we talk about.

Having a blog like this would be a cool thing only if we are studying the same thing they are. It would not really make sense having an educational blog, but yet not understanding what they are studying. It would be cool to meet people our age online through an educational setting, but would not make sense if we did not know what they were studying

As long as it doesn't get too creepy I'm all up for it. Connecting with students from other places is a great way to get different perspectives on topics. Maybe we could eventually get students from other countries. I really like this idea. Hope it will work.

I think it would be great to be able to interact with students from Denver. It would allow us to be able to get different views on many things. Also, we could see what other seniors are doing around the country. It would be especially beneficial if we are studying the same thing and able to see their ideas. I know that I would enjoy working with them and I think most students will.

As students in a heltered society I feel that diversity is a great thing. Being able to talk with and find out more about other parts of society would be a great thing for us. We could really use their blog and ours to find out not only what it is like to live in a different part of the country but what other high schools are learning and how their curiculum is similar or different for ours. Being able to blog with other high school students across the country would be a great deal of fun.

This kind of inter-class communication would be a great idea. While we are not currently entertaining as interesting a subject as Oedipus Rex, we could still have consensus, and get to know each other on topics in general.

We can also learn from their use of their website to actually discuss something we are reading, while we make notes on important things in the book. Or, at least, we should do it more often than we are now.

Hello from the center of the West. I think this will be a fun way to meet new people and learn more about different areas of our country. The mixing of our cultures and ideas will be good as we prepare to go out into the world. West meets South.

Hi I am a student from Colorado. I look forward to learning more about your class and blogging across the country. I hope that we can learn blogging tips and suggestions from each other. This multi-state interaction could be beneficial to both of our classes. You guys can blog on our site if you have any ideas on how we can communicate.

This is really neat that we are going to be able to chat with people from a different part of the country. It will be cool if we do have some of the same assignments, and we can see what other classes are going to be doing. This is going to be very interesting to see what we come up with.

Hola!! I am one of the Colorado students. I think it will be really cool and beneficial to work with students from the other side of the country! I am looking forward to seeing the differences and similarites between our classes. Your class should take a look at our blog and comment with your ideas!

Hey there from Colorado! I think this is a pretty exciting way to get to know some people from cross country and see things from different viewpoints. I don't know if we're all going to be studying the same pieces of literature or not, but it would be interesting to comment on each other's blogs about subjects we are studying and get some outside opinions from each other. Looking forward to it.

Hey there from Colorado! I think this blog thing is a great idea. I don't know if we are going to be studying any of the same literature, but I think it would be cool to post on each other's blogs about things we are studying in class and get some outside opinions and perspectives on it all. Looking forward to it.

Hi everyone in Alabama! I think that is going to be such a cool experience. I think its always cool to get opinions from people who are outside of our city. Most people don't have friends that are in highschool from other states so it'll be cool to compare what we are doing and how big of a role sports play in school... Maybe there are stereotypes that we can break as well? Because most people that don't go to Colorado think that we ride horses to school...

Mark C said...

Hello from Colorado! How you guys doing in Alabama? This should most certainly be a great experience for all of us. Connecting inter-state will open many oppurtunities for learning and communication. I am excited to see how this turns out.

It is always nice to get extra feedback, especially from people that view things slightly differently than us. This could really be a great experience for both of our classes and I think that everyone will benefit. Two brains are always better than one. I guarantee that we are always going to build off of each other and continually improve our blogging experiences.

Hey guys!
I don't mean to be redundant...but I think we'll have a lot of fun (and learn lots of course) from this newly-established communication. I think that we can find a lot of similarities and differences between all of us. Maybe we should give our teachers some suggestions on blog topics. One I have is how 911 has effected you guys? I wonder if it is much different than us here in Colorado. How did you spend the day? This might be a great opportunity to see how America has been united more and more because of the horrible event that happened 5 years ago.

This was a great idea of us as young people to get to know one another. It is going to be interesting to see who has to say what and how how similar or nonsimilar our ideas are about topics.
