Everyone's a critic

So we have talked so much about critical articles and essays regarding your research paper topics. If you were inclined to write about a topic in which you could be considered an expert or a critic, on what topic would you write? What I am asking is- where does your expertise lie? What would you write... title of "your critical essay" on ______?

If I were a critic, I think that the only thing that I could judge would be cheerleading, because I spent so much time doing it, that I feel like I know the most about it. I feel that I am able to give tips and to critique other cheerleaders.

I am such a critic on traditional fashion rules. No white after labor day is a huge one for me!!! I can accept winter white (creme) but bleach white pants, skitrs, dresses, and sometimes jackets are really meant for spring. Not matter what the people up in New York and Vogue say!! Its a southern girl thing, and everyones not doing it!!!

I am an expert on Star Wars. I can critique any Star Wars film, and argue with anyone about the topic. By the way, the new ones are terrible compared to the old ones.

I am most certain that I could be considered very knowledgeable in environmental issues that arise in the state of Alabama. A friend of mine that graduated from Princeton University works for Black Warrior River Society who in which provides me with articles and statistical information from an array of issues from rivers to mercury emissions that pollute our air. I encourage everyone to get involved and learn more about the environment.

If I were going to be a critic I would most likely critique movies. First of all I love movies. And being paid to give my opinion about them would be great.

I would be a critic of footwear. I am expert in shoes. My pet peeve are people who wear shoes that are far too common. I hate flip flops, wallabees, and crocs with a passion. I would never disgrace myself by adorning this type of conforming attire. There is no store good enough for me in birmingham, except the Foot Locker in Century Plaza. If you feel like you need some advice on footwear, please don't hesitate to ask for my approval.

I think I would write about golf because even though I suck at it, I can critique it very well. My whole life has been surrounded by golf people and people who know the "right" thing to do when it comes to golf. I feel that I would be able to help people improve their score and maybe even their golf swing, but it's not like we don't have enough people to do that already. But yah... so every one have a good day! see you soon!

I would write about food because its something that pretty much everyone is interested in. It would be fun because I could have an excuse to taste test certain foods. Also, I think it would be cool to be a restaurant critic.

I think i could critic dance. I have been dancing my whole life and that is the only subject that I know enough about to judge others. I have been critiqued so much that I think I could pass that information on!

I would probably write about sports, and I suppose video games maybe. Maybe even movies or books since almost anyone can be considered an expert in those subjects.

If I was going to write a criticism I would write about horses. More specifically, I would probably write about jumpers which is a discipline in riding. I've been riding since I was like 7 or so, so I think I would be a pretty good critic. Katie, are you saying you know more about fashion than Vogue? hmmm....

I would write about music. Maybe go into more detail and write about the different band members' playing style and their expertise in their instrument. I could also do magic shows because I can figure out and maybe even do 90% of the tricks that I see in shows or on tv. I could also be a critic for pastoral sermons. I love me a good sermon, and I can pick out the bad parts of a bad sermon.

My area of expertise would be country music. I guess i would be a critic of a country concerts. An example would be the kenny chesney concert two years ago when rascal flatts opened for him. I would say kenny was amazing, but rascal flatts was abolutely miserable.

We all know that Mitchell knows sports, but he's a Canadian so watch out for hockey comments, eh? I consider myself a food conniseur or however you spell it. I should be a traveling food critic who eats free food.
