Lights, camera, action!

Frankenstein Lyrics

A mastermind in the old watchtower
Prying eyes must never find.
Playing God in the final hour
Insanity, such a fine line
Overwhelmed by the mourning process
And the loss of his dearly loved
The Doctor's work is now obsession
What is life? What's beyond?
He wants to know what it's like to be God
Creating life with his own hands
To reanimate lifeless tissues
The Devil's work, the doctors plan
A man of wealth and a genius mind
A slave to passion and his morbid side
Robbing graves of the nearly dead
Erratic tendencies, a troubled mind

I will create in my own image
If God can then why can't I?
No thought of the consequences
I've got to know the meaning of life

Lightning strikes, it's the witching hour
The monstrosity comes alive
A victim of man's vanity
Born in delirium, a deranged child
He turns his back on his own creation
Chaos ensues, the innocent die
Who's the monster?
Who's the victim?

Crucify!!! Crucify!!!

this is a picture of Frankenstein and it portrays him as evil. in mary shelleys novel he is more pitiful and sad because no one likes him because of the way he looks.

This is a link that portrays frankenstein as being the monster, not the scientist who created him. It also displays him as evil, although really is just a sad social misfit.

Frankenstein Lyrics
Aimee Mann

I don't know you from Adam
You could make my day
If you leave me a message
I'll give it away
'Cause the most perfect strangers
That you can talk to
Are the ones who pretend
That you're not really you
I want any attempts here to play Frankenstein
Come with plenty of chances for changing you mind
When you're building your own creation
Nothing's better than real
Than a real imitation
I won't find it fantastic
Or think it absurd
When the gun in the first act
Goes off in the third
'Cause it's rare that you ever know
What to expect
From a guy made of corpses
With bolts in his neck
If the creature is limping the parts are in place
With a mind of its own and a fist for a face
Say hello to your new creation
Now it's better than real
It's a real imitation
You may wonder what the catch is
As you batten down the hatches
And when later we find
That the thing we devised
Has the villagers clamouring
For its demise
We will have to admit
The futility of
Trying to make something more
Of this jerry-built love
And you'll notice it bears a resemblance to
Everything I imagined I wanted from you
But at least its my own creation
And it's better than real
It's a real imitation

The movie, Young Frankenstien, actually has some scenes from the book by Mary Shelley. the encounter with the blind man, especially. Most people don't know this but the monster in the Mel Brooks movie was played by the same guy who was Ray's dad in Everybody Loves Raymond.
