There was a show on the WB called The Mountain. It was cancelled, but that isn't important. On the show, one of the characters was the rich, snobbish son of a hotel millionare. He wasn't the main character, but he would always create problems for the other rich family on the show. My friend, who is a girl would watch the show, and tell me how hot he is even though she would say he is a jerk. Sometimes he would do things that would just make you question why someone would do that, but o well. Perhaps that's one reason the show was cancelled.
The best idea i have about who is an anti-hero is Malfoy from Harry Potter because he is a very very weird/un-understandable, and i guess you could say is attractive? excuse my lack of physical judgemnent of other men. I think he is an anti-hero because he is youing, possibly good looking, and misunderstood, also, hes a freak who needs to get a new hobby instead of being a death-eater, hes only headed for sure death. The only reason i could say hes not a byonic hero is because hes not likeable at all. Another possible anti-hero is Lucas' dad from One Tree Hill, besides the fact hes not young and not well liked.
Hmm, Jess from Gilmore girls. He was kind of a jerk but you could tell that he was in love with Rori. I think the fact that he was a "bad boy" and the Rori was able to somewhat change him made him a Byonic Hero.
I think Ryan from the O.C. would be the perfect Byronic hero. But only from the first season. He would beat people up and was the kid from "the wrong side of the tracks." Now he has cut his hair and lost the leather cuff, so he is like the other rich kids on the O.C.
Caroline, I agree about Jess on Gilmore Girls. I love that show, and he was that misunderstood bad boy that we all hoped Rori would end up turning good.
Jack from 24 is a anti hero because he kills people to achieve his goals. He even threatens the person he loves. He always gets the job done. Some of the time he does it in a way that some people don't like.
i definatly agree with Katie. That guy Volchok who Marissa is hooking up with on the OC is bad news. She is drinking again and he wants her to do drugs and he does not take care of her the way Ryan did. This makes ryan the perfect anti-hero.
I would have to agree with max. Han solo seems like he would be a good one, if only in the first movie. He is mysterious, goodlooking, and somewhat of a good person underneath.
I think that Fonze on "Happy Days" is an example of the Byronic Hero. He is exactly what the definition describes. He's the attractive, young male with a bad reputation.
I think Batman is one. He is very misunderstood. Batman is also a very dark super hero.
when i think of the anti hero i think of shrek. He has alot of the same characteristics as one. Though he doesnt want to he accepts the challenge when it comes.
